Talladega CMP
Pistol optics, weapon lights, and lasers can be accuracy enhancers and lifesaving supplements to your handgun, but only if you understand how and when to use them safely and correctly. They can bridge the gap from iron sights to “target focused aiming”. This class will utilize classroom and live fire to help understand the concepts for effective use of pistol optics, lights and lasers on a handgun. Handguns can be from any manufacturer. Demo pistols will be available in class to try various optics and lasers.

The Steyr AUG is an iconic bullpup rifle. Most firearms enthusiasts have little experience with this unique modular platform other than its appearance in movies and TV. This class provides classroom, dry fire, and live-fire training to enlighten shooters who are new to the AUG about the many benefits of this design and why it is the world’s most popular bullpup.

Are you ready to learn more about the AUGs inner workings and learn about diagnosing issues, armorer level repairs and modifications? This class provides certification as a Steyr AUG armorer. You will have unique expert knowledge of the platform and how to use, modify and maintain it. Tools are provided for use in the class and available for purchase. Course includes lunch, a t-shirt, and a printed copy of the Steyr AUG Armorer Manual.

About The Instructor
Brian Marshall
Brian Marshall is a 28-year veteran of local and federal law enforcement and has been a firearms instructor for two decades. Brian is currently a command staff Major at a municipal police department in Georgia. He teaches master instruction of advanced/progressive firearms training throughout the US for the International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors (IALEFI) and has received the highest award of that organization (the Charlie Smith Award). He also is an Adjunct Instructor for Texas State University for the ALERRT program teaching active shooter response around the country. In 2019, He became the primary instructor for AUG carbine and armorer training at the Steyr Academy in Talladega, Alabama and now owns and operates the program. He holds armorer’s certifications for many firearm brands and models. He has published several articles on firearms training topics for law enforcement and has been featured multiple times on “The Firearm Blog TV” (TFBtv) with James Reeves discussing unique weapon systems.
